Humatem is a support NGO founded in 1999 and in official relations with the World Health Organization (WHO) since 2015.
It specializes in the field of biomedical cooperation and aims to improve access to and use of medical technologies, mainly in low-resource countries or in crisis situations.
More specifically, it aims to
make the assistance provided by development aid actors in the field of support for medical equipment more effective, by contributing to the construction of a framework of good practices
to strengthen health infrastructures and their capacities in health technology management
To this end, Humatem manages a platform of services dedicated to international solidarity actors, which is composed of the following complementary activity components:
Its actions are in line with the WHO guidelines on medical equipment donations and are part of the global health technology initiative launched by the WHO in March 2008.
Humatem is also a member of several national and international networks.
