The Geneva Federation for Cooperation (FGC) brings together some sixty organizations active in Geneva in the fields of international solidarity, development cooperation, awareness raising and public information on North-South relations. It is the privileged partner of many Geneva public authorities wishing to become involved in development cooperation.

Since 1966, the FGC has been working with its member organizations and their partners to combat inequalities in the world and to increase the freedom of choice of societies and peoples in their construction of economic, social and cultural well-being.

To fulfill this mission, the FGC carries out two types of actions:

  • International development cooperation with the South: the FGC acts as an interface between its members, their partners in the field and the public authorities that participate in the financing of projects in Africa, Latin America and Asia.
  •  Information, awareness-raising and debate in the North: the FGC regularly organizes meetings for its members and the general public to discuss global issues and development cooperation practices. It also develops advocacy actions to promote international solidarity through mobilization campaigns or publications.
