Cuba has a public health system that is accessible to the entire population, even in the most remote regions. Specialists are trained in Cuba. All Cubans benefit from free medical care. The success of the Cuban public health system is documented by social indicators, such as longevity, infant mortality, etc. The World Health Organization WHO designates Cuba as an example for the countries of the South.
Information and training in the community
Colon as part of the FortAM project aimed at
strengthening care for the elderly
in rural areas.

But Cuba lacks material resources, shortages must be compensated. Health is certainly a priority, but it is endangered by the economic bloc. It is for this reason that mediCuba tends to strengthen and qualitatively improve the medical structures in Cuba while hearing its voice in the international health context.

mediCuba-Switzerland strengthens ties between Cuban and Swiss medical and scientific institutions and informs the Swiss public about Cuban social policy. Health is a priority!
