DNDi is an independent, not-for-profit research organization based in Geneva with the objective of developing drugs for neglected tropical diseases.
DNDi was established in July 2003 by Médecins Sans Frontières and the Institut Pasteur, the Oswaldo-Cruz Foundation (Brazil), the Indian Council for Medical Research, the Kenyan Medical Research Institute, the Malaysian Ministry of Health, and the Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR).
Since 2003, the Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative has developed 12 treatments for 6 deadly diseases, saving millions of lives.
